Need help w/ XC19A and VT43A

H. I have a XC19A wireless wide angle camera and a VT43A receiver. Ive connected it according to the owners manual, both are set to 'A' and Im not receiving anything. The light on the front of the receiver is red, and I assume the camera is getting power, but im not sure since Im not getting any picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
