Ok, I am now working on installing an old Heath Zenith control center SSA6100-6.
I can't lay my hands on the instruction sheet for that unit, if anyone happens to have it I would appreciate a copy.

I am going to use it with my magnavox and X10 door switches and the Magnavox PIR.
I had no trouble with the door switches, they installed immediately with the test button.

But the Magnavox PIR is another matter.
That does not install when I press Test. It does have a recessed CODE button.
I tried both with the console. The PIR did install with the Magnavox security alarm, which I have now scrapped out.

I have an X10 door/window sensor and that installed immediately with it's test button. It also has a recessed CODE button like the PIR has. I didn't use the code button on the door switch to install it on the Heath Zenith console.

But the PIR, nothing. I did a walk test and it lights up. Pressing the test button for one second puts that PIR in test mode.

Any FCC ID numbers on the console and accessories?
Maybe starting with B4S?
Manuals where sometimes included in the FCC ID Database at least with X10 and OEM equipment made by X10 for other companies.

The PIR I am working with says

It might be an MS10A
I found the manual, but I haven't yet gotten the BR521 to install it. Nothing happens.

Yes that is the name of the new owners of the X10 line. When the old X10WTI went bankrupt.
I looked and unfortunately some of the X10 IDs didn't have any added data like schematics and manuals.
See if this DS7000 Kit looks close. It used a PS561 console.

This unit has no dialer, so simpler than that one.
Same PIR though, but I haven't gotten the PIR to work with this one yet.

The PIR does walk test OK.
I press the test button until the green light blinks twice, and then it blinks green when I walk by.

I have some powerhorns, the sounder that plugs in.
I have not figured out how to make the console turn them on.

I don't know the features your console supports.
The Powerhorns need a continuous one second cycle. Of On and Off commands sent to the X10 address set on the House Code and Unit Code dials. They also will sound with a one second cycle of All Lights On and All Units Off to the House Code set on the dials.
The hardly ever used All Lights Off can also be used with the All Lights On.
They do not sound instantly. It takes a few sets of cycles for them to start sounding and they keep sounding for a few seconds after the cycle of commands stops.

I'm quite sure it's very similar to the one you pointed me too, without the dialer.
I just dunno how to set up the powerhorns. It has a house code and unit code dial. I set the house code to my security house code, I left the unit code on 1.
There has to be a way to tell that thing where it's powerhorns are addressed, it must support them.

Does the console have the feature where it flashes lights connected to X10 Wall Switch dimmers or Lamp Modules, when the alarm sounds?

If the console has a House Code and Unit Code dials. For setting the Security Light X10 Address. That is what will flash the lights if any X10 dimmer types are on that address. The same flashing commands will trigger the Powerhorns also.
Set the Powerhorns House Code and Unit Code dials to the same X10 address as the Security Light address. They should start sounding when a alarm flashes the lights.

I have never seen a specific setup for Powerhones, only the Security Light Codes. That Powerhorns also use.

I see the console does not allows you to send regular X10 On and Off Codes with manual buttons.
You maybe able to use the Lights On and Lights Off buttons. On one of the old remotes if you have one. Try sending a continuous cycle of Lights On and Lights Off commands with the buttons to the Powerhorns. After a few On Off cycles they should start to sound. That will at least see if they are functional.

I have a real old X10 product manual from an old X10 dealer in storage. I found the SS5400 information and scanned it.
Includes DW534 Door/Window Sensor, HT544 Remote, BR521 Console, PH508 Powerhorn, SP554 Motion Detector and KF574 Key Chain Remote.
I may have to do a smaller set since the one PDF file was rejected for attachments. I think my slow DSL Upload speed timed out the X10 servers time out.

One more thought.
On the Magnavox PIR Sensor. After installing the batteries. Did you push the Code Button so it generated a random security code? The security console can use to register it.

If you did not push the Code Button.
Try removing the batteries for a few minutes.
Push the Test Button a few times to make sure the battery voltage is completely drained from the circuits .
Then install the batteries and push the Code Button. Again try and register it on the console.

Not exactly sure if your Magnavox PIR is similar to the X10 SP554 but here is the manual for it anyway.
