Xps2 switch only works with commands and not manually

Is that normal?

Pressing the button does nothing. But commands from the controller and remote do work.

Do I bother replacing it, or let it die first? It controls my pool's pump and salt water chlorine generator.
Thanks

I found a {later I think} XPS2 manual online. My earlier version did not say it changed things locally.
So their may have been a change between a local paddle and a decorative paddle.
Later one does indicate the local paddle should turn it on and off.
Replacement would depend on how important is to you.
If not used much. You may want to just go the way it is working now.

The paddle should work for local control on even the earliest versions. Unless you need local control there's no need to replace it.

Thank you for the information.
The old and new manuals where not clear on the paddle operation

Thank you all.
I shall leave it as is, as I'm sure that it won't be easy to find one perhaps.

Both Big John (fair vendor) on Ebay and X10 sales site have them in stock.
For about $43.99.
