X10 WiFi App for iOS

Upgraded my iPad to iOS 11.3 and now registering the app consistently fails, using the iPad camera and also a very good photo of the QR code. Usually it fails right away, but occasionally will proceed to 7 or 14%. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted the iPad, resynced the WM100, in various orders. Works ok on my Android devices (except of course downloading history, which did work on the iPad when it was previously working). Any sugestions?

No luck syncing on iPad 2 running 11.4.1.

I’m very disappointed in X10, I have been holding at IOS 11.2.6 on my IPad but keeping my phone updated so I can have one device that works. I have many other items (TiVo, drapes, IR cam ...) in my home controlled by my phone/pad and never lost functionality due to an iOS update. I would even understand if they did updates to fix problems quickly. This does not seem to be a  professional company, it’s more like a hobby for some kids in a garage that are coding there first app.

I also think they are operating in bad faith continuing to sale a IOS product they know doesn’t work. I would be very mad not just disappointed if I bought this and found out it only works with  discontinued IOS’s. I have no faith an update will be released, to much bad history.

I did a hard reset (arg) and was successful with install on iPad 2 iOS running 11.4.1 and android 7.0 on a Moto G5 Plus.   Now, off to add back all my devices.

Still no luck on history.

I got giddy and tried to add another iPad 2. It failed.

Tucson:
Partial success iOS 11.4.1 Plus hard reset as follows:

    -iPhone 8 —UPDATED 2— Worked once now it FAILS. Appears it will work until the phone is
      turned off then it requires another reset  :P
    -iPad Air 2, data and history sync fail,  device controls work  B:(
