I think it's time to get it out there
« on: December 19, 2018, 10:01:29 AM »

I think it's time you released this beast into the wild. I feel the testers now have what they need to get down and dirty with the Pi X10 Hub.

Looking forward to the queries rolling in on what can and can't be done. Any of the remaining testers that are having difficulties setting up can switch to this section of the forum and create a separate post for their own situation.

Good luck Pi X10 Hubbers. Let the game commence. >!

I'm hopeful of a Dec. 22nd 2018 release date barring no major issue pops up in the test group. ::) :'
This way users will have a few days to get it downloaded and written to a SD card or two (I suggest two) ;)

T- will you know how many downloads there are? It'd be interesting to see how many are interested in trying it.

No, I'd also be interested in the initial interest. However I suspect once the word gets out that this is a universal Hub and the simplicity  of setup interest will grow. I also suspect users will add to this as the X10 community is a clever bunch. This does what many expected of the WM100 when it was first released plus much more.

At the risk of repeating myself, please take an image of your SD card once you have a working setup. It will take all the headache out of starting from scratch should you break your install.

Also you can take a backup of HG in the Maintenance section of HG.  Very useful when you’re adding to your HG X10 setup and want to revert should you make a mistake.
