I have a CM15A that has been working admirably for years. I replaced the antenna with one of those RS antennas mounted in my attic so it does a pretty good job with RF (ok, but certainly not perfect). I also installed a XTB-IIR to boost the PLC to a very acceptable level. I haven't used AHP in years and HG is in use on an RPi. So, why look for an update? Well, I'm considering a switch to Mochad/HeyU and CM15A isn't fully compatible for what I've been looking at. If I switch to CM11A, I believe it will work better (and I already have a couple sitting around so I can verify functionality). But, what do do about RF?
Since I have a XTB-IIR, I have a XTB523 port and I believe that means I can connect the V572RF which will then convert RF to PLC. If so, I'm assuming I'd have a pretty solid setup with very good RF receive (including security modules). If that works, I don't know if the 32-bit version is a benefit or not. If that doesn't work, I guess I could consider using the W800RF32 and connect it to the RPi's USB port. But, then I don't know what software would be needed...so I'm not looking at that seriously. Anyone with a V572 able to comment on these questions?
