Installing WinEVM on a Window 7 machine.
« on: December 18, 2020, 10:15:42 PM »

My XP computer finally died.  I have an old Window 7 machine that is 64 bit.  How are you all running your WinEVM?
Thanks

Five years ago I bought a refurbished laptop on ebay and asked the seller to load a 32 bit version of WIN7.  If you have the 64 bit WIN7 Pro you can use the XP emulator https://www.google.com/amp/s/helpdeskgeek.com/windows-7/windows-7-xp-mode/amp/

Since I use the laptop for little else the 32 bit version works well for me.

Another option is to install VirtualBox and install XP on it.  I have been doing that for many years on both Win7 and Win10.
