WS4777 Problem
« on: January 24, 2023, 01:27:12 PM »

After many years of use my WS4777, 3-way wall switch has a problem. Suddenly the slave would not turn on the lights. So I replaced both units. No change. The slave will turn off the lights. The master will turn the lights on and off. Remote control of the lights is fine.

I created a test setup with the removed units and everything was correct.

The power accesses the setup via the slave and the master connects to the two lights in the hall.

I would most appreciate any ideas to solve this problem.

Did you change the lights themselves? Try the same bulbs that worked in the test setup, maybe?

Thanks for the idea. I have been fighting this problem for months so I could not identify which bulbs were used in the test setup. However all the bulbs were 60 watt incandescent.

Years ago I remember having problems that were fixed by replacing old bulbs that were on their last leg. Worth a shot.

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately nothing changed.
