Widget Icons in Homegenie
« on: February 04, 2023, 04:55:01 PM »

Hello, I wonder if someone can help me with this, I would like to add some of my own widget icons to Homegenie. Can someone tell me where the icons that come with Homegenie for the widgets are located in the program on my Rasberry pi? Also what size would my custom icons have to be? Thank You.

Icons are stored in various places. If you look at widgets in the widget editor the path is specified for the widget. So to customize a widget with your own icon you simply need to edit the widget info and change the path to where you put your icon. You could put your icon in the same folder and just change the icon name in the path code.

I'd highly recommend not customizing HG.
The new UI currently being distributed in the beta releases of 1.4.0 doesn't like customization of widgets from 1.3-stable.19 and prior.
If you update you may find many custom things won't migrate. :(
