Hi
I was given a bunch of da10 security sensors, what I would like to know is, how do I add them to HG 1.3?

Brian H

What RF receiver or transceiver  are you trying to use with the DS10A Security Sensors.
The security message is different than other X10 RF devices.
Some may not process them.
My CM15A would with one of the software plug in but my WGL  W800RF32 generated an Unrecognized or Corrupt Packet message.
The message also had different contents in the messages before and after I did a Generate a new security code on the test DS10A.

Hi Brian
I am using a cm15a, I installed one sensor in ahp & ahp confirms it, the thing I am having is setting that sensor up in homegenie?

You need to enable x10 RF in HG then Hg should see the sensors when you press the test button

Thank you for the response but were do I find how to enable x10RF in 1.3-stable-19? I don't know where to find it?

Brian H

Thanks for the information.
Glad you are using an X10 interface that can process it.

Go to Configure then select your group you wish to add your ds10 sensors to. Select add module and select RF CM15 Tranciever this will add a module that will display incoming RF signals.
When you press the test button on the ds10 the code it sends will be seen, the module display will say Added module S- ......
Click add module again and look for a module that starts wit S-  and ends with x10 security that will be the ds10.
Once added you can name it.

Thank you tuiceman for responding, I am following your instructions but I don't have a module named RF CM15 Transciever?
I believe the problem is X10 RF in snot enabled in HG, I do not know were to enable this in v1.3-stable19? Cab you point me in the right direction to enable X10 RF in this version?

Is HG seeing the CM15A and x10 working from HG?
If your using AHP on the same PC as Homegenie they use different drivers which can affect performance.

Yes x10 is working in HG, but HG does not see the CM15A? AHP is running on a win10 computer, HG is running on a RPI 3B.
The problem seems to be that HG is not seeing the CM15A?

Tuicemen

Do you have 2 CM15A or are you swapping the one back and forth?
If you have 2 try switching the one on the pi with the one from the PC.

I only have one cm15a, but I think I have a cm19a lying around here somewhere, would that work if I plugged it into the RPI with is were HG is installed?

Tuicemen

Yes, at least it does on my pi.
You'll need to switch the interface in HG to the cm19.
