Lights connected to XPS2 just come on
« on: November 26, 2023, 04:31:11 PM »

Hello x10 forum
Whenever I log in, I never know if it remains active, but I see that we're still alive!!!! Awesome and thank you.

I have 2 halogen bulbs, yes, connected to an xps2 switch. At any random time, I will walk by their location and see the bulbs on. Ultimately, I unscrew them, and look for an alternate solution.
But, what would cause "bleed through", I believe it's called, so that the bulbs ignite on their own? Is the 8 or 9 year-old XPS2 bad?
It also doesn't respond to X10 commands, btw, but it does work manually.

thank you,

The server is running on old equipment and does go down from time to time but it usualy gets resolve very quickly once the owner is aware.
Sounds like you have a issue with noise on the power line. Maybe even the bulbs themselves are the culprit.
