I have been told there is a firmware problem
with (some? all?) diagnostic units coded
05B06, though they would not tell me what
the problem was.  I would feel a lot more
conifident in exchanging for a newer unit if
someone (x10-Pro?) could confirm what the
specific problem was, and what the fix was.

X10 Pro

There isn't a problem with that version, and
we haven't made a newer unit, other than for
internal testing.

then why did your tech supt. department ask
me the version #, check with the "boss" and
tell me there was a firmware problem with
that code, and to send the unit to them for
replacement????

X10 Pro

That's a good question, and I'll find out the
reason. It's not what should have happened.

And if there isn't a problem with my unit,
how do you explain the timers not working in
the test I described in an earlier post?
(sending out an L6 command ON on the half
hour, OFF on the hour, for a whole day, and
a second Cm15A used as an activity monitor
only to record the signals)

X10 Pro

Without knowing what data is in the
interface, I don't know why that would
happen. I just sent you an e-mail with the
diagnostic installer, and some additional
instructions to help figure that out.

X10 Pro - yesterday you stated you would
find out why your tech support staff said
there IS a problem with 05B06.  What did you
learn?

X10 Pro

Don't know who (did you get a name?) or why
yet, but have emphasized that that
information is incorrect.

arf1410

I don't remember the name, but she was a
female, someone told her my unit was
manufacturing during mid Feb, when the
problems started, and that there were "bad
welds".  Gee, welding a lot of steel inside
that little box?
