CM15A is now working a lot better
« on: May 04, 2005, 06:54:12 PM »

If any of you don't have an X10 compatible
security system, you can ignore this post.
The security system is X10, model DS700.
After the last few updates my RF range was
slowly going to crap (remotes & PE's).
Also, the v3.186 update my security sensors
stopped communicating.

So, I changed the security House code to a
separate house code.  Then changed settings
in the hardware interface configuration.
The transceived house code was on auto.  I
put it on specific and selected the letters
I used for my home automation, not!!!! the
security system.

Now everything has been more stable.  Hope
this helps.

I have a ds7000 and it worked fine for
about 2 or 3 months then kinda suddenly,
certain sensors would get lost (not
reported in a few hours so the base unit
chimes).  That chime is aggrivating and if
i fixed it another would go out so i
disconnected it.

I did not suspect it might be related to
cm15a activehomepro software upgrades but
perhaps you are on to something.  Maybe
someday soon i will retry to get it working
stable again.
