AHP and VCR Commander
«
on:

Okay, so I have a VCR commander that I can
now show as a module within AHP. Anyone
know how I can find out what house/unit
codes it is using so that I can define it
and access it via the console.
Thanks

Isn't it using whatever the motion sensor is
set to?

The back of the VCR Commander instruction
sheet gives the procedure to teach the VCR
Commander what motion sensor codes it should
respond to.
Until it has been taught it doesn't respond
to any codes.

I know how to set it to the motion sensor,
and that works fine. I want to know what
codes it is using so that I can control it
from the console, or within a macro.

It's using whatever house/unit code the
motion sensor was configured to use. If
you didn't configure the motion sensor,
it's at the default of A1.

What ever the motion sensor was set to. A1
is default but if it was reset to lets say
B5 then B5 is what the VCR Commander should
have learned and you should use. One rub is
motion sensors when the batteries are
channged revert back to A1 if memory serves
me.

I'm using two VCR Commanders both of which
are triggered from devices in AHP. I set
the codes the VCR commanders respond to by
using a hand held remote. Use the same
procedure as for using motion detectors.
Use the hand held set the the house code
and the button that correspondes to the
unit code you desire with the VCR Commander
in the "Learn MS" mode.
