Anyone know where I can find the specs on the
minimum system requirements are for active
home/iwitness?  I want to know CPU and memory
and nothing that I have found states that.
I'm using a Pentium III 1.3ghz celeron
running one camera screen and it's running at
100%, that's crazy.

Jake,

I have a Pentium 800ghz and it also runs at
100% when I use iwitness. I have not seen
the specs anywhere.

Is your video choppy as well?  I'm ok with
choppy but performance should be better then.
If you bring down quality on what appears to
be a poor picture already you might as well
not use the system.
I'm thinking about upgrading the
computer...again.

I am using a Intel Centrino M 1.60 GHz
Laptop with 1 GB PC 2700 RAM and 128 MB
Nvidia Video Card (dedicated).  When I am
running iWitness it uses about 35%
Processor and 450 Mb RAM.  Hope this helps.

Jake,

The video is very jerky on my computer when
using the iwetness software and VA11A. If I
use the composite input on my video card
the picture is much smother. The quality of
the picture is still poor but I guess you
get what you pay for. A high quality video
camera would cost $300+. I must also admit
that I have a lot of things running on my
computer and that might be part of my
problem with the jerky video. With iwetness
running my CPU usage is typically running
at 90%+.
