This is driving me nuts!!  I have my timers set to turn on
some lights in my family room.  I'm testing them and
nothing is working.  When I have the AHP unit connected
to my computer, lights turn on and off with no problem.
I'm able to control them with my remote, however, when I
set up the timers and plug the unit into a wall plug...
NOTHING.  Even if I leave the unit where it was without
moving it and disconnect it from the computer.. nothing!!!

I need some help on this.

Hi,
It really sounds like somethng in your setup
is wrong.  I have a diag unit (o4J44 4MAr)
and all the timers and macros work right on
schedule.  I keep the CM15A disconnected from
the computer 24/7.  I do have a passive
coupler installed across a 220v breaker in an
inside utily panel.  Before I installed the
coupler, I would get sporadic results
depending on where the signal was to end up.
I have many timers set and they all fire
right on time.  I am using Transceived House
Codes set as "SPECIFIC" and only mark the
house codes I am using.  I avoid "A" and "P".
My current setup uses house codes B,C,D,E and
F.  If you can control with your remote then
the signal is being transceived by the CM15
and does make it to the destination.  It sure
sounds like a setup problem.  I'd clear the
entire setup..make a test setup (save your
MASTER) and set up ONE timer... set it for a
few min later, remove the unit from the USB,
put it in its' normal spot and await the
timer to fire... If it does not work , at
least you have narrowed it down to a clean
setup and can start from there.....
I am using AHP ver 3.187.

in Interface" box is checked in the settings
for each timer? Have you downloaded the
timers to the interface?

Jim,
Way back in March05 I seem to remember a
comment made by X10 support on this forum
that Code "P" may be used during status sets
or checks in their AHP software.  I am really
not sure of the validity of my comments but I
did see it in print on this forum and I think
it was from X10..may not even be an issue
now.. but I have had no trouble with my
current AHP set up... and that included lots
of power outages in the past several weeks..
After all those outages...my timers were
still right on the minute... 7am, 9am,
2pm,5pm and 10pm alerts.
If you hear a different story about code "p",
let me know too...

I'm not sure of the exact circumstances when
it occurs, but I often see a "P16 On" sent
when powering up the CM15A.  And there's a
test mode available with Smarthome's
BoosterLinc where it repeatedly sends "P1
On"/"P1 Off" at 1 second intervals.  I don't
know if any other unit codes on housecode P
are used, but I just avoid using housecode P
altogether.

Followup: I've found that if AC power to the
CM15A is interrupted and there are _no
batteries_ in the CM15A, then AHP will send
one or two "P16 On" about 15 seconds after AC
power is restored.  (I assume this is
probably intended to provide an indication of
a low battery condition.)
