How do I disable or freeze a Macro?
« on: January 28, 2006, 11:57:20 AM »

I have a couple maros that I run such as:
If someone comes to my driveway, my motion
sensor triggers and the chime sounds. If I
am having company and kids are playing in
the driveway, I'd like to temporarily stop
that marco from running.
Thanks, Robby

Change the house code on the motion sensor or
the chime to an unused value.

If you use Smart Macros, reserve a flag bit
for 'enabling' the macro.  Create  RF
trigger to set and clear the flag bit (use
the trigger to enable and disable the chime
macro whenever you want) then change your
chime macro to check the status of the flag
bit when it gets called, and only chime
when the flag is set appropriately.

If you set a flag to override the chime,
then set a timer for midnight or something
to remove the override.  This way each
night the override condition is cleared.
