Hello,
 Under the tools bar you have the button that is Hardware configuation on the AHP software. When you click that button this will show information pertaining with the interface. My interface is not connected to my computer and my question is that there is a button that says update interface, What type of update is being done to the interface? How often should I update my interface? Does this update keep the dawn, dusk time up to date? Thanks in advance for the help everyone!

You Should  only need to update the interface when you add something new to your setup! (macro ,switch,program update)

Thanks for the answer. I am really enjoying the software and all the things the CM15A can do. Next I might take on a motion sensor and see what kind of headache I can give myself.

Actually, the only time you want to update the interface from the Hardware configuation Update is if you make a change to the montored housecodes, for example. Or, if you change the batteries in the interface.  Otherwise, you don't need to do it.

Adding modules, timers, and the like need to be uploaded to the interface.
