Timers Firing Randomly
« on: December 01, 2004, 11:42:34 PM »

I created a simple conditional macro the
other day to turn on O5 if the time is
before 11:05PM else turn on O3. I set a
timer to trigger this to occur at 9:35PM
every day. ( yes I know I don't need a smart
macro to do this, but I just wanted to check
and see if the conditional macro would
actually fire ) Well at 9:35 nothing
happened, nothing in the activity log
either. (Although I suspect the activity log
is unreliable in 3.170 but the light didn't
turn on so I figure it didn't run anyway )
At 10:31PM the lamp turned on and a check of
the activity log showed that the conditional
macro ran at 10:31PM. I turned the light off
and again it turned on at 10:35PM and
another entry was logged showing the macro
ran. Obviously this is all wacko since the
macro should have run at 9:35PM just once.

Just a quick addendum - the macro has now
fired every three minutes for the last 30
minutes. Seems to be stuck in some sort of
endless loop even thought the timer was set
to trigger the event at 9:35PM and repeat
was NOT checked.
