Smart Macros if (Nighttime) not working
« on: February 22, 2005, 02:17:48 PM »

I have tried to setup a macro to turn on a
front porch light that will come on when
motion is detected but only at night.  So I
set up a macro that triggers anytime motion
is detected.  That worked daytime or
nighttime, however once I add a conditional
if nighttime to the macro the light still
comes on during the day

Mine did the same eact same thing.  I
changed it to use time range and picked
dusk/dawn and it worked great.  Bug, wrong
code version, who knows.  Since the
workaround was fine - it's ok w/ be (for
now).

Also, I wanted it to come on a little
eariler than it did (a little less dark) -
so I picked a same time zone city North of
me with good results (I'm in Dallas - picked
Chicago).

Good luck!
