v3.175 crash and burn
« on: December 28, 2004, 03:38:12 PM »

No crach problems before. Updated to 3.175
and application error on start.

Stopped service, deleted c:\program
files\common\x10 and c:\program
files\activehome pro
reboot
reinstall v3.168, starts without incident
upgrade to v3.175 and "the crash came back"

Can I access an install for 3.174 or 3.173?

Or better yet, a fixed 3.176?

X10 Siupport, report this back on 12/25,
3.174 on XP SP2 was working, after
installing of 3.175 will not start after
closing. Reinstall back to 3.168 runs fine,
update to 3.175 works until I close program
then will not start. Tried serveral times
same thing.  Left voice mail to return my
call, waiting for call back. Request same
thing a way to backoff 3.175 back to 3.174
or a fix ASAP.

As noted in the other thread we're working
on this now.  Sorry for the delay, we were
lightly staffed over the Christmas weekend.

Part of the problem is that these are
upgrade installers -- You may have noticed
their smaller size on downloading.

You shouldn't be deleting the x10\common
and ActiveHome directories prior to
upgrading.

Initially I did not delete the directories.
A previous messaaage from x10 recommended
doing this. It turned out to be the only way
to install an older version.

Until you fix 3.175 can I have 3.174?
