CAN'T START AHP SOFTWARE

I just installed Pan and Tilt software on
my computer and now I can not get AHP
software to run.  I get the following every
time I try to start the software.  “active
home pro has encountered a problem and
needs to close:

Try reinstalling ActiveHome Pro from the
original installer you have, and choose to
update other X10 software when it asks if you
want to do that.

That worked but now every time I try to run
the Pan and Tilt Pro software I get “run
DLL as an app” error.

Any suggestions ? ?

The frustration level just keeps
increasing. In their effort to get Pan and
Tilt Pro software working Tech support has
broken AHP. They sent me a file that they
said would repair AHP but that did not
work . Now every time I try to run AHP I
get “AHP has encountered a problem and
needs to close”.   The software also now
wants me to register it again  but I can’t
because of the error message. Spent most of
the day on X10 phone hold hell and I am
worse off for it.

Jim: Reinstalling AHP as I had you do before
should have made both AHP and PanTilt Pro
work. I'll look at this today and see if I
can figure out what's not working right. What
version of Windows are you using?

Thanks, but I got it working late Sunday
night. It took uninstalling both PanTilt and
AHP and deleting the X10 folder. After I
reinstalled everything and reregistered the
software it all seems to be working. It is
just frustrating that when one is told buy
tech support that someone will call back
and after two days they don’t. I have had
much better responses to problems from you
guys answering posts to this forum.
