Error message
« on: April 08, 2005, 05:09:08 PM »

I don't know if I have a hardware or a
software problem.  But here it is.

I have AHP open, the Interface connected,
and all the timers and commands downloaded
to the Interface.  I tell manually AHP to
switch on a light that is in the room where
I'm working with the computer.  The light
switches on just fine, but an error message
comes up telling me that there has been a
communitcation problem with the interface,
and that I need to re-download the commands
and timers to the Interface.

Does anyone know what causes this? or what
I have done wrong?

Are you useing 98 or M.E. I occassionally
got this with those two OS but I could never
nail down the cause. I never get this with
XP.

I've experienced an intermittant problem with
an (otherwise flaky) CM15A which may or may
not be related to yours. I many cases I could
"cure" the problem by merely unplugging the
CM11A from the wall and plugging it back in
again.

Yesterday it worked.
Today it doesn't work.
X10 on Windows is like that.
