Major program CRASH.
« on: September 02, 2005, 11:20:04 AM »

I downloaded the net-loader for MyHome
and installed the update onto my computer.
It ran twice before I ran into a MAJOR
problem. My installation did not have
either the CM15A or the VA11A installed at
the time. When I went to move the computer
from my place of work to my home, I placed
it in suspend mode. Upon getting home and
connecting the 2 interfaces and running AHP
I ran into the problem of "X10 module has
encountered an error and needs to close", I
sent the error report of to MICROSOFT. I
was not able to run AHP again after this
problem first arose. Subsequent
investigation revealed that the x10nets
service is not being loaded (this is
confirmed after numerous re-boots and
trying to run AHP). I even went to the
extent of removing AHP/SDK and the files in
the Common/X10 directories, and re-
installing AHP. This did not alleviate the
problem. I even resorted to doing a
complete new installation of Windows XP
with SP2 on an-other hard-drive, with no
change. I posted a message on the forum and
didn't get any answers to my problem. I
don't know what I did that would have
caused this event to occur.

This is really confusing and
frustrating as well because the CM15A is
not processing events as well and since I
can't get the program working I can't re-
download my data file to the interface to
get it back up and running again.

My computer is a DELL INSPIRON model
2650 laptop with all bios and driver
updates. I am running Windows XP-SP2 with
all updates.
