Auto-Poll? Module status not correct
« on: February 12, 2006, 08:27:02 AM »

I have a question.

I don't keep AHP running all the time, I
close it when I'm not using it.

The CM15A runs all the timers properly.
Lights turn on and off correctly. If I open
AHP, it shows lights on that the 15 has
turned off.

This was asked in the General Section by a
Javier.

I'm posting in the BUG Section as well

The question asked by Javier and myself is
"Why does AHP not poll the CM15A to correctly
show the module status?

Any answer from X10 Pro?

Dan,

AHP only keeps track of the units on
the "Monitored House Code" in (Tools -
Hardware Config) when disconnected from the
PC.
It does not actually poll each unit.
Hope that helps.

Billy,

My CM15A is plugged in to the PC by its USB
cable. The problem is not montored housecodes
(all of mine are monitored) but the
relationship between X10 Device Network
Service (x10nets.exe) and AHP. The X10 Device
Network Service is supposed to pass the
status of the modules from the 15 to AHP, but
something's not doing what it's supposed to.
It's something in the software according to
X10 Pro and the problem is being worked on.

Last Tuesday, I was not at home when the CM15A ran the dusk timers. To my surprise, when I opened AHP, all the modules were shown correctly.  However, subsequent timers were run, but the module status was not updated.

From this I surmise that the X10 Network Status did correctly update AHP. ONCE.

The problem contunues.
