Putting the Vanguard 44X Zoom Cam Outside???
« on: April 05, 2005, 07:11:12 PM »

I've just purchased the Vanguard Zoom Camera
44X Ultimate Zoom 3pack with internet software...
http://www.x10.com/key_products/zoom-camera.htm

I was told on the phone I could "just buy a
dome for it" to be able to place the camera
outdoors... the problem is that I can't
figure out which outdoor all-weather dome is
compatible and suitable for my needs.

The camera will be in a high humidity (100%
often times) warm climate zone (up to 100
degrees... full sun areas may of course heat
it up way higher).  I see that most of the
domes have fans etc to keep it cooled down
but I'm not sure about humidity concerns...

Does anyone have their cam outdoors in a
Florida climate -- rain/humidity ... extreme
colds are not a concern...

Any recommendations for a proper enclosure
for it?

This will never fit nor are they designed to
fit into any "conventional" domes. Forget
about putting it outside.
