My flood cam is working "kind of". So far it
always comes on and off when motion is
detected. The problem is that when  I set
the min-max light control to the darkest
setting the lights still come on during the
day. They do shut off after the set time
though. Also I have the cam programed to
switch on my vcr recorder. Problem with that
is, by the time the vcr starts recording the
person is too close to the door (out of
range of cam) all I see is the persons back
walking away. I really don't want to move
the cam in a different spot. Is it possible
to have another motion detector activate the
flood cam? In my opinion, I think these
little cameras are pretty clear at close
range.(for the price!) I have a 56" tv and
was surprised to see them pick up small
details on anything. But they have to be
about 2-3' away.   Thanks for any words of
wisdom.

I don't have the floodcam, but it sounds like
you could fix your problem by using another
wireless motion detector to detect the motion
just before the coverage of the floodcam
which would allow your VCR to start up and
then be able to record the picture from the
floodcam.  Just a thought.

yes an eagleeye or equivilent x20 motion
sensor can be set to turn on the floodcam
where you want it. check out the products on
this web site that do it.
in regards to lights coming on during the
day, you may need to reset the floodlight,
there is a tech note on doing that, it
requires setting the camera to dusk and
minimal time, shutting it off, then on,
moving in front of it, then let is settle
down and that's what's called a reset, for
exact specifics refer to the sheet someone
on this web that tells you exactly how to do
it. instructions might also be included with
the product. that wil reset it and then the
lights will not come on during the day
