looking into purchasing xcam2.. quality etc
« on: April 15, 2005, 11:49:28 AM »

Hey,
I was looking into getting a camera to
monitor my dogs during the day while they
are in the backyard. I think I am interested
in a xcam2, maybe with instant on (wouldnt
need that feature right away, maybe later)
and the ninja pan/tilt.

Also would like to be able to view the
camera pictures while at work, and listen to
the sounds the mic catches.

- how good is the picture quality of the
xcam2? Are there any screenshots/samples I
can look at somewhere?
- I would probably go for the video / usb
adapter into the PC. Is that a good choice?
- how can I realize watching the feed from
work/the Internet? Is there a way to remote
control the camera/ the robotic mount via
the Internet.. I read about the pan and tilt
software.. is that any good? Pros/cons? Any
alternatives?
- the mic.. how sensitive is it / any useful?
- how could I listen to the sound from
remote?

thanks much for your input
Carl.

Carl, I have been asking the same thing for
weeks, you would think that x10 would have a
live feed and screen shots of outside the
building, a tree or something, other than
actors,  If you happen to get any please
forward my way.   dallen4008@sbcglobal.net

I thought the same thing. It must be a scam
if they can not even have a live video feed
on the internet. It was for just this
reason that canceled my camera purchase
just now. They just lost an additional $130
because I couldn't verify the quality of
the camera!
