Floodcam sensitivity
« on: June 25, 2005, 12:11:09 PM »

Sure wish x10 would come out with a
sensitivity control on the floodcam! I ended
up turning mine off cause it was constantly
going on and off by the littlest things.
Keeps picken up small birds, squirrels,
cats, and even a butterfly turned on my vcr.
Glad to see it works but this is rediculous.
I used almost a whole videotape in one day!
Anyone else have this problem? And what did
you do to correct it? Thanks for any ideas.

I had to duct tape over the sensor on the
floodlight, and instead use a remote motion
sensor....that way the motion can be read at
the angle you choose without effecting your
floodlight direction...

Bruce what do you mean the remote motion
sensor? is this a separate motion sensor?

Sure....I bought 3 sensors from X10
for $29.00   They can all be programmed
to match any light/floodlight/accessory
you have!

Bruce, won't duct taping the sensor cause
the lights to come on during the day? I only
want them to come on at night.

Marc... I believe you can program the
individual sensors to activate either
day or night operation...They should be
able to totally substitute the built-in
sensor...I guess if all
else fails, spend maybe twenty minutes
holding on the phone with tech support.
They are pretty good at all these questions.
You just have to be a little patient waiting
for them. Good luck.
