All I can say is that there are a bunch of
folks that are all correct in some fashion,
as it is the semantics x-10 and ALL
companies use! It is very very simple, like
waterproof and water resistent! Watch makers
tell you the depths, so you have a
measurement. To be fair X-10 should qualify
their language better, and I thought they
already had a big 30' IR 0 lux, but must be
confusing them with another that is eating x-
10 for lunch, since they cannot get out
anything new that is great and or leading
edge since the Vanguards! OEM anything in
the mean time,as your "product holes" are
where the rats comeing in which only opens
you to competitors with significantly
newer,better and cheaper technology!
Nightvision is relative term and that is
thge reason for the whole issue, that is
hopefully done,finis!

The sales person on the phone was fully
aware of my intended application. He
recommended the Nightvision camera stating
that the color camera would not work. He
said nothing about adding a spot light, and
stressed the ability of the camera to work
in low light. False Advertising & deceptive
sales practices!

Jaames has the right approach. Research is
the best approach before spending or
wasting a lot of time and money. I
personally have been involved with X10
almost since it came on the market. I have
learned that it is more important to
understand how the product works or more
important what makes it fail before I pass
it on. I have used X10 in applications that
include Nightclubs (jimmiestewart.com,
select the link to X10), Restaurants,
Catering Halls, major corporation
Boardrooms, Churches, etc. I even used X10
when I was retained to coordinate the
appearance of President of the United
States (jimmiestewart.com, select the link
to GHW Bush.

I know very little at this point about
the "Low Light Camera" because I have no
real need for them. Should the need arise I
will purchase whatever is available and
thouroughly check out the pros and cons
before I commit the product to a client.

There are wrinkles with a lot of the X10
products. Learning what they are and how to
get around them has made me a lot of money
over the years. An example would be the 600
watt dimmer. How many know how to make the
dimmer work in a 1900 watt system?
