Multiple Cams / Multiple TV's
« on: September 05, 2005, 11:17:33 AM »

I am considering installing 2 or 3 wired
cam's in my house.  I'd like to be able to
monitor all cameras from TV's in both my
living room and bedroom.  The main purpose of
this installation is for a "baby monitor".

What would I need to make this happen? Is
there a device where all the cameras can
connect in the attic and feed the signals to
both TV's?   Thanks in advance!

Why did you decide on wired cameras?  The
wireless ones will let you view from any TV
or PC that has a receiver on it.  Or any
computer in the world if you have the
software.  Plus, you don't need expensive
switching hardware, you don't need all the
wires, and most importantly you don't need
to install all the wiring to your attic or
anywhere else.  Keep in mind, if you decide
to monitor later from a different TV,
instead of just moving the receiver (or
getting another one) and plugging it in,
you will again have to run more cable.
It's a real pain unless you like doing that.

Wireless is less expensive, more flexible,
and easier to set up.  Plus you can set
them up to switch or record on motion.

I have NEVER posted the phrase "perfect
equipment".  It just proves how desperate
you are to distort the truth.

That's more of my time than you deserve ...
I read that one by accident.

Aspec - let me know if you have any further
questions ...

lol just when you are tricky enough to make
it seem like your helping you jump in with
the bull**** that you do. i didnt say you
phrased it that way just that your comments
seem to have always been rhetoric in the fact
that nothing ever could be wrong. as so many
have proven is the opposite i will still do
as well. read it or dont i could care less, i
am now posting to help inform the rest of the
public.. good day.
