Hidden Wired Cam Location Ideas
« on: September 20, 2005, 11:30:05 PM »

Hey all.

I'm looking into purchasing some cameras soon
to be hidden around my home.  After doing
some research, it seems that a wired solution
is probably the way to go because of the
higher picture quality and removal of the
chance of strangers intercepting the signal
and watching through my cams.  However, it
seems that a wired system would be much more
difficult to conceal.  For example, I can't
really think of any good places to hide the
camera, in say, the baby's room to monitor
the baby and babysitter.  Are there any good
websites with tutorials on how to properly
run the wires and hide the cams so that they
aren't easily detectable?  Thanks!

How many cams do you want to install?.
Thats the great thing about wireless, if
its only the baby's room I would go
wirelless and use picture in picture on my
tv. If you want outside cams I suggest the
wirless floodlight low light are
not all that good when it gets half dark. I
hooked up my floodcams where exisiting ones
are and use the remote pad I can turn them
off and on at will and as they turn on the
picture comes up on the TV. I use wirless
and I find the opicture quality
great..color is good , contrast good  no
complaints here.

There are countless products and sources
out there with cameras integrated into
inocuous items like clocks and teddy
bears.  You are right, if you put wireless
cameras inside your home, you might as well
live in a fish bowl.
