Outdoor use
« on: October 30, 2005, 10:10:03 AM »

Can any of the cameras be used in outdoor
situations? Besides the flood cam? I want to
mount a couple of camera's outside to watch
my front door and my back yard where my boat
is kept so these camera's will need to be
mounted outside. Is this possible?

I have had 2 cameras mounted on Ninjas
(inverted) outdoors under the overhang of
my roof. They have not been harmed by
intense heat or by rain.  We do not get
snow here in Southern California.

We have cameras outdoors all over the
property.  Even in winter they are fine.
Just keep the Ninjas under the eaves (we
have them on a tiny shelf bolted to the
wall ... so that they don't ice over.

We are in Toronto so we don't get the bad
winters or snow of Buffalo but it should
not matter.  The stationary ones have
endured many winters.

The cameras are a lot friendlier than the
insulting idiots at X-10.
