Cordless Phone Interference
« on: December 27, 2005, 03:45:29 AM »

Hello anyway to resolve interference from a
2.4 GHz cordless phone really distorts the
image on my wireless cameras. I really
don't want to get rid of my somewhat
expensive cordless phone system, tried
relocating it but where ever I place the
phone I get this distortion on my monitor.
Seems like x10 would had thought through
this a little better seeing the popularity
of these cordless phones, also most of the
5.8 cordless phones are actually hybrids
with the base transmitting at 5.8 with the
handset transmitting on yep you guessed it
2.4 GHz back to the base unit.

Known problem. With Cordless Phones and
wireless networks in the 2.4Ghz. band. The
FCC only gives so much of the band to theese
type devices and they have to share. Have
you tried all 4 channels on the cameras?
Sometimes that helps if you find one that
isn't being interfered with. I have seen
messages that some can tell when their
microwave oven is on as it also scrambles
the cameras picture?

I had a similar problem and resolved it completely by switching the camera code from A to D.
