Has anyone had a confirmed alarm detection?

Has anyone had a confirmed alarm detection?
An intruder or attempted entry that the
system detected? Did it perform as
advertsed, alarms, auto dial, etc.? Also
does the system reset its self after a
predetermined time, or does the alarm sound
until reset?

In a round about way yes. For my garage, I
use a sensor on the back door. Once or twice
I've come home from work, raised the garage
door, messed around for a moment and then
opened the back door to throw a cig into the
butt can. Of course I forgot to disarm the
system. Bingo! Or battery dies on key
remote. Unlock door and make quick dash to
console. I have about 10-12 of the 110
decibel alarms scattered throughout the
house. Believe me, you do not want to be in
there when they fire off. It autodails my
cell phone and such without issue. If
electricity goes out, it has in past came
back on before console battery died, so
alarm continues monitoring okay. My
experience is that the alarm does not reset
itself. Everything basically shuts down
after about 5 minutes. Also, if you have
wind chimes, I don't recommend using the
glass break sensor around them, you will
false alarm. Which, have been the only false
alarms I've got in 2 years. Removed the
glass sensors from that side of house, no
more false. So far so good. HM

Yes, I have, twice.  Once while I was at
work it went off, and dialed my father (who
lives two blocks away).  When he got to my
house the screen door was slashed and
opened and the backdoor was open, with
screwdriver marks all over the lock and
frame.  When he went in, the alarm went off
again, so it apparently reset itself.
Nothing was missing (thanx to 5 of those
big power horns).  The second time I had
the unit on for home with just the door and
window sensors armed and I was in the
shower when the alarm went off.  Someone
had pried open the back bedroom window.  We
assume they knocked on the front door and
when nobody answered (my car was in the
garage with the door closed) they went
around back and tried to get in thru a
window.  My dad put in a three flood cam
system to light up the sides and back of my
house and catch whoever is prowling around
our neighborhood on tape to show the
police.  Several of my neighbors up and
down our street have had breakins lately,
so it isn't just my house.
