Get off me Jim. I didn't post anything under
another name, goofball. If I want to comment
on something, I don't need to be a coward
and desguise myself. Just answer the dudes
question (if you can). Don't tell him to
break his warranty on your simple hunch.

Tx. anyway,, but the ego-piss-off antics
have shut down all conversation as to the
help I was looking for. Looked like a good
place for info 4 awhile.

Take a walk Ian. We don't need your kind
around here. Especially if all you're going
to do is complain all the time about X10
products.

Just curious, how long the console can work
with only battery support. Not power with
AC.

Jeff, I don't think it's Ians fault. He asked
a question, and like he said, the
conversations have been shut down. In regards
to the distance between contact issue, just
put them flat against each other, slowly pull
them apart while watching the red indicator
light on the transmitter. When it flashes,
that's the furthest distance. And also Jeff,
I am 14 and I can simply answer a question.
Jim said that the only way he knows of
silencing the alarm is to open the case and
disconnect the wires. Yes, this will void his
warranty, but what other ways do you suggest?
I don't believe there are any. I guess it
depends on how much he doesn't want the siren
going off.

does anyone know if the voice dialer can be
reset by remote phone if you can't get home
to reset the system if it has been
tripped?  Or does it reset itself?

thanks

Once you press "0" from your phone, the siren
shuts off in order for you to listen in but
the lights continue to flash. Which means
external sirens will still sound. It will
resest after 4 minutes, but you could always
buy a telephone interface which allows the
system to be controlled by telephone.
