DS7000 Keychain Remotes - Length of delay?
« on: January 01, 2005, 10:15:20 PM »

Is there anyway in the world to get the
keychain remotes for the DS7000 to arm in
'delay mode' as opposed to immediate?  I know
you can walk over to the console and hit
'arm' and it goes into delay mode.. but it
would be much nicer if you could just hit it
on your remote.

Additionally, a feature I'd like to see is
the ability to disarm from the console, by
punching in a code.

That would be nice to have, I also backup
Matt's Sugestions Code to Disarm(most
alarms have it), and key chain delay,

I mean really.. that's the basic reason you
have the 30 second delay when getting into
your house... so punch in the code.  If you
have the remote, why have the 30 second
delay?  And yeah you can walk over to your
console and hit 'arm' but it's much easier to
just hit it on the remote on your way out..
but it's nice to be able to do it BEFORE you
get outside..

Additionally.. is anyone else not getting
e-mails about messages being replied to?
Like when someone replies to one of my
messages, I don't get an e-mail about it.

Some of me email notices are ending up in my
BULK Folder at SBC/Yahoo Mail while others
are going to my Inbox.

Security/Home Automation Remote Control
(SH624)  I use this when I leave and disarm
when I come in from a delay set into the
sensor.   It also lets me arm while at home
without arming the motion detectors.

Yeah that works but it's kinda a pain... like
where do you keep it? You can't just mount it
on the wall, as if someone were to break in
they could easily find it... it's too big and
clunky to carry in your pocket...
