Resetting the Voice Dialer console
« on: August 14, 2005, 11:57:30 AM »

I just started to set up the security
system starting with the motion sensor. I
followed the instructions and it shows as
Entry #1 but I did it a second time and now
shows on entry #2. Entry #1 light stays on
and Entry #2 goes on/off showing motion
detected. How can I reset the unit to start
all over. Or delete both entry's one at a
time.

I bellieve take out the battery from the
console. Unplug the AC and wait a few
minutes. All is gone. Messages phone numbers
everything.

Yes , I did that and it works fine now. I
was sort of apprehensive about having to
rest the system. But when I hooked up the
power I just went from sensor to sensor and
pushed the test button and I could hear the
cosole beeping to accept each sensor . The
four door and 4 window and 1 motion took
about 4 minutes to reset. I'm really liking
this system.

Would be nice if we can selectively remove the sensor from the console.  I have a big 21 sensor and it took awhile to go to each sensor and set each one all over again.

Well hate to be the one to bust your bubble but the motion sensors are junk and if you're using the 1 step mode get ready for a LOT of false alarms it's best to use the mode 2 but most of the units except the Pros aren't reliable in the second position I was able to actually do all my cleaning and the sensor never went off, so if you try the two step make sure you test the units thoroughly!!! for at least a week, there could be no worst feeling then to have this thing setup and have someone walk right by your motion detector and rip you off!! there's another problem with this system that I think you should be aware of I'm just trying to help so that you know the systems limitations thus avoiding any unpleasant sirprises. And yes I currently using the system but I'm in the process of upgrading to a professional system with glass break detectors and the ability to call the console and check the statues of the system turn lights on and off from the phone etc. Hope this helps.
