Well, you can read the manual, it can be
downloaded from X10. There is a battery in
the console. Good for 20 hours. If the power
failure is longer than that, you have other
things to worry about.

I plug the base unit into a UPS from the
computer store and all works fine for me. I
have my power horn tied in to the UPS also,
so it will sound off in the attic if the
power is down. Time? I dont know but I am
sure it will last days dormant mode.

I have a monitor plus, the battery thing
broke on it so if there was a power outage it
would disarm itself. One day I got bored so i
opened upt he consle and did some wiring and
now it works fine.
