Communications failure
« on: December 21, 2005, 11:12:29 AM »

I just moved and reinstalled x10/active
home in my new house in a new PC. For some
reason, after some time the communication
from the PC to the x-10 module stops after
a couple of hours. When I run Test
Communications, it fails. If I exit and
restart Active Home, it comes back.

Is there something I need to do to solve
this issue.

I have downloaded every program/macro at
the interface and all that seems to be
running fine.

New computer is XP? Active Home has problem
with XP, like loosing communications wit the
cm11a interface.
Some have found that. Right click the Active
Home Icon
Properties
Compatibility tab
Set to Windows98/ME
Disable visual themes
Turn off advanced text services.
Some have also found setting the com port to
2400 baud also helps. I use to just close
the program and restart it whan XP lost the
connections.
