Lost control of my socket rocket
« on: January 24, 2006, 10:10:50 PM »

I've lost control of my socket rocket. It
will not longer respond to commands. The
light still works manually, but will not
respond to the x10 commands. Anyone have
any ideas?

Is it stuck on? If so did you have a bulb
blow out in it? Most likely cause is a blown
bulb damaged the module and it no longer
will turn off. I have lost 2 that way.

Yes, I did have a bulb blow, but it seems
to be stuck in the off mode. Did you trash
your socket rockets or was there a way to
get them going again?

One was replaced by X10 in Warantee. Trashed
the other ones. I have seen fixes for bad
triac [the part that shorts or maybe also
opens] problems. Not too easy as the socket
rocket isn't a simple remove cover by
removing the rear screws.
