I wish I had read this thread BEFORE I
ordered an X10-PRO controller. I need the
software on a portable medium to support a
system 15 miles from the nearest internet
connection. Now it appears I must fetch the
computer, add internet software and
hardware just to upgrade to "the latest and
greatest" from X10. And, unless the product
is flawless, I may have to do this as often
as I used to reload the CM11A software from
CD.

X10
My hard drive started rattling like a coffee
can full of marbles, shaken not stirred.
(thank you Western Digital) so I bought new
Western Digital drives (on sale at Circuit
City...I couldn't help myself) and begin re-
installing all my software....except AHP.
For AHP, I have to email a request
for "permission" (the loader) to reload
software which I paid for...and that made me
nuts.

We don't need a CD shipped with the CM15A,
but we do need the .exe file which we can
burn to CD ourselves. Internet Workstations
never became the resounding success they
were predicted to achieve because computer
users do not like NOT having control of the
software they are paying for. Take the hint.

Well I am confused>  I have downloaded and
saved the original AHP software to my X10
Software folder along with all the other X10
software and developers kit.  I use the
original download to repair AHP updates that
never work and bomb my original.  So why can
I not burn my own CD from my original
downloaded AHP?
