launch external program or VBscript
« on: November 05, 2004, 05:00:43 PM »

I'd like to see Active Home Pro be abl eot
launch VBScripts based on triggerst from
timers, macros, x10 devices, etc.  This
would expant the capabilites of the macro
functions.  The product from Autom8it.com
does this and it is pretty handy.  I can use
VBS to generate emails, etc, based on motion
sensor triggers, etc.

Is Autom8it still available? I used the beta version for quite some time and loved it. I have lost the downloaded file on a computer crash and cannot find a version anywhere....Thanks

I've been to that site after a google search, but darned if I can find a link for software that works. Almost every link I hit under products brings me a page of script for the web page? Years ago, it was a UK site and now???

AHP can fire off windows commands EXE file and BAT files so you should be able to fire a VBS file!
You may need to create a batch file to do it! ;)
Of coarse you also need the Smartmacros plug-in!
