RF COMMANDS
« on: December 03, 2004, 10:13:31 PM »

It is nice to see the RF commands added to
the macros. I hope this will be expanded on
to include them  in the timers.

That might help me with some modules that
don't work w/timer, but do respond to HR12A &
RT504 (older version of HR12A) remotes and
CP290(old RS-232 interface) and Stanley
Lightmaker Home Control.  These last two are
plugged into receptacles and provide
vertually flawless albiet manual control.  In
the works here also is the .1 microfarad 630
VDC cap to couple the phases.

David,

Even with the capacitor installed I still
have one location that I can only operate
with RF. I suspect it might have something
to do with the fact that my house is 100 +
years old and the wiring about the same.

I set up a timer to run a macro that will
now send RF to this location. It seemed to
work fine in a test today. Will see if it
works when needed tonight when I get home.
If it works my front light will be on.

Jim,
Sounds as if U'r using the CM15A as the
transmitter.  If so, I assume U'r using an
RR501 (or other transceiver) as the receiver.

Dave,
I am using a TM751 transceiver on the other
end.
I am using this in conjunction with a wall
mounted light switch. I have the
transceiver plugged into an outlet near the
switch.  I am unable to control this light
switch through the power lines but it works
fine using the transceiver module to inject
the signal near it.  Until X10 added RF
capability to the AHP I could not work this
light from timers unless the module was
plugged in near the light switch. Tonight
will be the test as to how well the new AHP
with RF out works.
