Where to buy?

I used to see these at Lowes and Home Depot
but I see where they have discontinued it.
Radio Shack even used to sell them but they
too have discontinued. Is there any retail
outet other than the web where you can
purchase these products?

Makes me wonder if there was some sort of
liability issue.

Kerry, you can still buy in a bunch of Home Depot stores in CA, AZ and NV.  There are also a few wholesale distributors in certain areas that will sell over the counter.  It just depends on what city you live in.  I know of a few on both coasts.
