can x 10 wireless sensors bought in usa  work with existing system in europe   and if not why

No.  Voltage is different, plus US plugs are different than European systems.

Check X10 Europe's site for non-US/Canada areas.

what about ms10  and ds10  sensors  as they only take batteries

NO. USA modules use 310Mhz. I believe European modules are 418Mhz.

Correction. 433.92 Mhz is the overseas frequency.
