I have been looking for a digital keypad for my X10 security system.  Has anybody inquired about this?  I have done some extensive research and I have found a couple which claim they can in fact work with X10.  But what I want to know is there anybody who has tried one and it worked?  Some people like the idea of pushing a button to start and stop their security.  Arming would be fine but I donââ,¬â,,¢t want anybody to just be able to disarm it.

Thanks

Good Evening,

Your question reminds me of the garage door keypad.  If you are a bit technical you know you can remove it, smash it or whatever and short the two wires and bingo, the door goes up.

Plug the garage door opener into an appliance module and your security has been dramatically improved.  Most people would not expect the second remote control system.

I would not recommend x-10 for serious security applications but read the forums here, there are many that do and they are very happy with them.
