I can operate all modules from my PC, I can operate all modules from the programmed CM15A (without the PC), but none of my remotes work through the CM15A. I can plug the TM751 into the same receptacle and everything works great!

Any ideas? ???

Dan Lawrence

1. Dump the 751, get a RR501. Better recepetion.

2. The remotes talk to the 751/501, never to the CM15A.
I don't SELL this stuff... BUT I sure do ENJOY using it!!!

Thanks for the response - I did find that if I hold the remote in an exact position at an exact distance, I can get it to work!  I guess I'll just stick to using the CM15A as a controller!

Dan Lawrence

Good!!!

Really replace the 751. I Had two 751's, (sitiing in the spare module box) that were replaced by two 501's.  BTW, if you have more than one, put them on different housecodes -  if two or more are on the same housecode, they clash!!

Check if the house code you are using is marked as "Transceived."  See Having problems? Please read first! for more information.

roger - did that!

Dan - Can't seem to find where you can buy just the 501 (though it is listed for $24.99). I only see it grouped with a 504 (which I already have) and selling as the RC5000 for $39.99.  Oh, well!

fredley; Have you checked some of the web based X10 or Automation vendors sites? Some may have the RR501 alone.

Try Pigs Electronics in Baltimore:  http://www.pigselectronics.com/  They carry the RR501 and ship anywhere in the USA.

Hey Dan - I checked Pigs - same story.  Thanks for the advice though, I'll look around.

Thanks, roger!  I do appreciate it!

fredley,

Do a complete reset of the CM15A, unplug, pull batteries, wait, install batteries, download to CM15A.
Should fix the RF receive problem.
Like Rodger said make sure you have the HC's transceived checked, check them all to make sure.
CM15A should work fine for you without the need for the 751 or 501.

Good Luck.
