Why does CM15A has RF out?
« on: April 21, 2006, 09:03:31 AM »

I have just got into Active Home and its CM15A and there is something I do not understand about it.  I fished around this forum but did not get my answer.   :-[

Please...Can come one tell me why CM15A needs to be able to send X10 signals vis RF ?  Since all devices are already on the house electric system does it not make sense to just issue commands on the electric wires!

And don't forget the "NEW IR Commander."  It isn't currently supported in AHP, but hopefully that will be changing soon.

The Ninja Pan and Tilt as mentioned is one of the RF only devices that you maybe able to control with the cm15a.
Clarification. The Ninja uses RF for pan and tilt while it's X10 selectable Power Supply is powerline controlled.
