CM11/CM12 - PC control
« on: November 19, 2008, 09:07:24 PM »

I am all new to controlling CM11/CM12.

After powering up the CM11/Cm12 I receive a character 165 (0xA5)
According to the documentation I was expecting a chraracter 90 (poll = 0x5A).

Cannot find any documentation on how to reply to that.
Should I simply confirm with character 195 (0xC3) ?

---

OK I learned that it is a power failure command.
I will continue.

Rgds,
Michael

This is a site for UC/Canada users of X10, not European users of X10.   The CM11A (for US/Canada) has been out of production.  Since it appears Marmetec  is selling a version of the CM11 for Europe, try their help.

Dan Lawrence,

This is a site for X10 users by X10 users!

In all the years I have been here, I have never heard X10 USA tell us that we're not allowed to help X10 users in other countries, nor have I ever heard them tell us that we can't attempt to help users that don't speak "English"!

If you have a personal problem with helping out non-"North American" or non-"English Speaking" users, please just stop responding to them altogether and let the rest of us help out if we choose to!

While normally I would have delivered such comments privately, you have made your opinion quite public and I feel that it is in the best intrest of the Community that someone should publicly mention that your statements do not reflect the attitude of X10 USA or the X10 Community at large.

LinTronic / Michael,

Welcome to the forums!

I'm glad it sounds as if you were able to solve your problem yourself!

Please feel free to ask for our help when needed, and on behalf of the Community here, I apologize for Dan Lawrence's frequent attempts to discourage non-English speaking and non-North American users from participating here!

In the real world, the only constant is change.

When I'm online you can find me in the Home Automation Chat Room!
